
Judy Marriott Fowler, CMA, LMT
Judy Marriott is a Certified Movement Analyst trained at the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies in New York City as well as a licensed massage therapist from the Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy, New York City. Originally trained as a modern dancer, Ms. Marriott has over twenty years experience in fitness and movement science. Ms. Marriott's experience includes designing movement based warm-ups for runners, pre-game warm-ups for golfers, instructing neurological patients, post-mastectomy patients and patients with upper extremity injuries, as well as proper techniques for functional strength training.
At Beth Israel Medical Center's Outpatient Hospital Rehabilitation Center, she developed a series of workshops for outpatient rehab patients that included postural awareness and increasing range of motion. It was while at Beth Israel that she discovered the benefit of offering movement with hands on soft tissue manipulation to greatly influence healing, range of motion, and increase of well being.
James Fowler, P.T., ACSM
With over fifteen years experience in Sports Medicine and Movement Science, James Fowler is a physical therapist who understands the mechanics of the human body. James graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1988 with a degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education. In 1994, after coming to New York, he earned a second degree in Physical Therapy from the Steinhardt School of Education at New York University. James spent seven years in the Physical Therapy Department at Beth Israel Medical Center specializing in orthopedics and sports medicine. "James was also the official physical therapist for the New York Liberty Basketball team, providing rehabilitation and movement analysis for performance enhancement.
In addition to his dedication to his private practice, James has created and directed various independent programs that can be benefiting to all. James developed an innovative program for children, "Kids Move for Soccer", to teach sports and soccer in a positive environment. Also, James developed "The James Approach", a golf training program which is a movement re-education for golfers to improve swing efficiency and body awareness. James has been owner of his own practice since 2001.
Rudy Valle, Certified Soccer Coach
Combining passion for soccer and exercise expertise, Rudy Valle has over twenty years experience in sports and training. Rudy is a Certified United States National Licensed Coach, Certified Personal Trainer and Exercise Specialist having received a BS in Physical Education from Hunter College in 2003. His extensive experience includes having been a Central American U12 youth select soccer player, a CUNYAC and ECAC Men's Runners Up with the Hunter College Hawks in 1998-99, as well as currently acting as a player and coach for the Men's Traveling New York United Football Club where he continues to lead a team of New Yorkers to various National and International Championships. Rudy's showed his dedication to exercise education and community service by helping to co-create an Adaptive Soccer Class for Project HAPPY, a physical education program for people with disabilities in New York City and developing individual strength training programs specifically tailored for pre-season training for the CCNY Women's Soccer Team. In order to pursue his deep interest in child development and corrective exercise, Rudy plans to enter a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree program by summer 2008.
Michel Gentile
Michel Gentile is a music teacher within the New York City public school system and at the Helen Keller Institute. He has many years of experience working with elementary school children and a great love for coaching soccer. Michel brings his knowledge of teaching children to the game of soccer and provides the nourishing and positive environment for all.
